Help with see thru transducer

Alright I have run into a problem with mounting my transducer for a LCX 38 C HD on my 2010 Sabre.The guy mounted it about 2 inches behind the seat pole base that goes to the bottom of the boat.I tried it out today and just my luck wasnt getting any readings with the sonar.So is there a metal plate back there that Im not aware of and should I try to mount it further back more towards the back of the boat.I have a picture if you need to see.Thanks in advance.
