High Five Prop pitch

Currently running a 27p trophy with cav ring and all 4 holes plugged.I have been fishing Erie quite a bit more then normal this year and was thinking of picking up a High Five prop to help for when it gets rough.Do I want to get a similar pitch (I think it comes in as high as a 26) or do I want a much lower pitch. Not concerned with top end, but currently the slowest I can go and keep on plain is around 25mph and if I slow down anymore it looses bite and it drops off plain.Any tips or additional info would be greatAdam

04 Cougar FTD w 250 Verado, loaded as heavy as you will probably ever see.lawson101, thanks for the offer but I am up in Canada and getting things through the boarder is rather a pain..

Gotcha YEs we know what you need now. A Old large Tube Trophy will help you out. See if you can find one in a 24″ or 23″ variety for that large water. We dont think a High Five would go on that Verado very well. Though we have seen the old Large Tube Trophy work some. You can also go down 2″ on a Bravo to a 26 or 24 size. BCB

Thanks for the info..So basically I need to go bigger in diameter and smaller in pitch to make up for the increase.Will see what I can find. I just wanted to check, cause I had a real problem orginally with the Verado/Trophy setup trying to stop it from loosing bite at take off and at lower speeds.Thanks.

1manshowwI am in Michigan and have a large tube Trophy 23″ pitch prop that I wont be using. It is dinged up on the blades but if you are willing to get it repaired, it should work well for you. Let me know if you want it.

I ran a 26 Bravo 1 on the same rig, my partner now owns the boat and is running the same prop. It will run mid 70s and it jumps out of the hole.
