Chet,We Never put our trash on that line, it was always to be a good game. And the previous opponents of both were not the slouches expected to be. Though Bama was saved by a 2.5 minute coaching clinic on “how not to”. A little officiating interference in the end zone helped some too. It was a great game of will power and force by both sides. Besides, you still need a kicker! BCB

NOT the Bama of 96 ! The HOGS were washed up in the first half of the ball game, came back and whupped some tide butt, then gave the game away on a silver platter, with the help of an official who couldnt see the “pass offender” never touched the reciever in the end zone ! Now thats how i remember Bama,,,,,a little home field advantage with the crew never hurt, but then again, the how not to coach clinic by Nutt was inexcusable, all that was needed was a first down and game over,,,,but our two best running backs were on the sideline ?????Oh well, just a game,,,,but i still say we need a coach. And before your season is through, you will too ! D.

Youre right Chet ! Just as i thought Saban had lost his mind when he opted to kick a field goal late in the game,,,,Then WE made him look BRILLIANT ! Its a game guys,,,,,and yes it does hurt to lose someitmes, but were all still friends when its over, and we are all S.E.C., and S.E.C. Proud !

WOW!! Looks like I hit a nerve. Even with BCB. And no, not all the posts were “its going to be a good game. Shucks I hope we win.” Give me a break. Are you kidding? Some was “trash” as you call it. I guess the board moderator is a big Hog fan. A little too much coffee this am? Ok, I will stop. Just been a while since we could poke our chests out and be proud of our school. I guess it is not just the win, but Auburn (1-2) lost and they are falling apart, Notre Dame is 0-3, and Tennessee (1-2) got hammered and Fat Phil is on the Hot seat. Even if we would have lost it would have been a great day. Honestly, does it get any better than that for a Tide Fan? We may end up 3-9 but sure looks good today.Chet

You didnt hit a nerve here CL. Bama put it down in the first half, and those last 2 minutes. You should be proud.As we said in the other D-Mac post, Major Applewhite has done wonders with the QB. Major will be a head coach sooner than most would think.BCB

I agree that Applewhite has had a positive influence. He has a great football mind and seems to understand the flow of the game. I am a Bama fan and am glad to get the win.I do have to say that my opinion of McFadden has changed a little. I thought he was a great back until this game. Now I think he is the best back in the country. That guy showed heart along with his abilities. Nutt, however had to overuse him to get back into the game and McFadden had nothing left on the last drive. You could see him on the sideling cramping up and looking exausted.
