Actually… try raising the plate to about 6 for hole shot, as soon as you hit the throttle start pulling the plate down. Make sure you have all the PVS plugs out of the barrel and usually Ronny’s props will work with that on a 25” Fury. We have seen some with Poles, AGM batts, big partners, full fuel and lots of tackle run better with a 24” Fury.
usually when someone has Gilbert work one, it was damaged and needed cleaning up. If it was sand-barred, then the blades could be all tweaked out of shape. We don’t like rebuilt propellers as they are subject to whatever damage happened before they got rebuilt. The rebuilder often can’t bring them back enough.
