Hook in the hull

I was just curious if BassCat checks the hook in the hull on every boat before it leaves the factory. I was told sometimes there can be too much due to the gel settling in the mold on some methods of boat building. Mine is in for repairs and the guy doing the work has owned numerous Bullets and used to love tinkering with the bottom of the hulls and understands a great deal as to how everything works. He was asking me if I knew anything about Cat hulls and if there was anything they could do to enhance the efficiency of the hull. I was curious, not that I am going to have him do anything, I was just curious. I understand the purpose for having hook in the hull, but I also understand what having too much can do and the method BassCat uses may eliminate this from happening. I have no idea, but I thought I would ask just so I would stop pondering on it. Thanks Travis
