Every time I start running pretty quick both of my graphs shut off. Im not sure what it is, Ive checked all connections and there good. Anybody else have this problem? ???
Had similar issue but only with the bow graph and only in rough water…ended up being the connection in my case. Do the units turn on right away when you power them back up?
It still sounds like a loose connection somewhere. You can test at home by trying to reproduce the issue. Turn on your graphs. Tap and jiggle every connection that can be related and see if you can get the graphs to shut down. A few years ago I had the identical problem on a new boat and it was the crimp at the wire at the main breaker at the battery that was the problem.
A practice I started several years ago I invested in a butane soldiering iron. When I installed or had loose connection I soldiered them. That puts a end to the bad connections. Also use a good grade heat shrink. It takes a little longer but worth the time and effort2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

One thing I did to isolate the problem was turn on “auto bilge.” The next time my graph shut off, the auto bilge also shut off. I knew then that it was a main power problem and jiggled wires until I found the loose one. At the breaker.
a common issues with humminbird is the way the power cable adapter connects at the back of the unit. A trick is to wrap two small piece of electrical tap on the end male connection. Helps.
In time the older wires that were copper, and not tinned copper, would corrode and eventually the flow of power get trapped by the corrosion. It begins on the ends and works its way back, and yes connectors can be a factor.
The experts at HBird had me to take the male end of the power cord and separate the two pins just a little. I used a very small flat head screwdriver and moved just a little until the plug was very snug. The problem stopped. Mine was on the bow too. It was a 788Ci DI/HD. Good luck.
