I need Billy The Exterminator

about three weeks ago got on the lake pull my rods out to find out the line was cut on each rod, fifteen to them to be exact.Though this is really a bad joke, retied fished on. Got home cleaned boat put up rods LOCKED rod boxes.The next trip same thing I am P----- if you get my drift. Yesterday took a kid out that fishes on the auburn univ. fishing team, yep same thing.this time when I was pulling my rods out I notice a giant nest under my rods, made of grass and yep!! fluorocarbon, mono and braid.OH! there was a snake skin in the nest. I am freaking out. Got home vacuum and cleaned both rod lockers left rods out over night. looked in boxesthis morning the little pest or big pest stole my braid scissors out of my tray and yep they where in my rod locker, cleaned rod locker. Anybody have any suggestion how to get rid of this problem and how they are getting in locker. HELP!!!!

What a fantastic practical joke!! Especially the snake skin. Im inspired to mess with a buddy of mine now. As to the actual problem/cause/solution…no idea. Let us know how it plays out though. I had a mouse run over my sandaled toes once and scamper to the bow. He almost lept out but I was on plane doing 30 or so. His eyes got big(mine too) and after a little hesitation he ran back where he came from across the toes again and all. He jumped ship at some point….never saw him again! Good luck!

Id set a couple mouse traps in the boxes and check em regularly. Im sure mothballs work too but they repel me as well as everything else

Put Bounce dryer sheets in your rod lockers. Had the same problem and the local exterminater suggested it. Havent had a problem since. I refresh he every couple of weeks. Pro-Tec Productswww.protecproducts.com

Sounds like a Packrat, we get them all the time up here in Montana. Put some peanut butter on a rat trap, or you could do like my drunken friend and shoot the house up trying to kill the rat. He shot the toilet, and the sink, but never hit the packrat.

Found my varmints, two rats.Left one of my rod lockers open the other close. When I got home from work opened the closed rod locker and there they were two rats making another nestout of insulation where they got it who knows! any suggestion how to get rid of them before they start chewing my wiring. HELP!

Dump a quart of gas in the rod locker where you saw them, strike match and drop. When rats run for their life blast them with a 12 ga. If someone has a better idea let us know, because I think I have the same guest as albassman. Found a nice little nest made in Starboard side rod locker earlier this year, set trap but nothing.Britt
