Illuminated handle fan

I just took possession of a new to me 2017 Eyra. Brilliant boat! Pardon my ignorance, but I hear a very loud fan noise when turning on the lighted handrails. 1. What is the purpose of this fan? 2. Can it be replaced? 3. Can it be disabled? I looked in the bilge and could hear it, but couldn’t find it. The lights will be a welcome addition on early mornings, but the fan noise will be intolerable. Thanks for the help.

Both functions should not activate at once, as you also have a fan option. The fan is located, tucked away high, in one of the front compartments. It induces air flow to improve drying and removes moisture to prevent mold and mildew.

Thank you. I must have an electrical gremlin somewhere. I can turn on the fan and hear it run in the bow area. Something is turning on in the bilge. May be a pump? I just assumed it was a fan for some weird reason.
