Is this supposed to be there on my seat? Or was it just not removed

The plastic bag is supposed to be wrapped around the foam inside the seat to keep the foam from getting wet and deteriorating.  You can either tuck it back up inside the seat base, or trim it a bit so it is not showing.  Don’t pull it out because then the foam will be exposed and deteriorate over time.

That seals the foam from moisture absorption. We’ve never seen one float out and that certainly wasn’t that way here. It looks like the plastic may have been hanging a little out from under the edging, and someone pulled it on out.

It was just hanging out a little, maybe 5-6” under the seat, noticed it flapping around and just looked weird, I pulled on it some to see if it was loose.

Wasn’t like in that picture, that was after I pulled on it some.  That was just to show what it was.  Seemed weird, so asked what it was.

Makes sense if is to seal the foam from moisture.  I took the seat cover off and wrapped the cushion with the bag and taped it so can’t come loose.  All good now.
