First that was a great statement! You are BCB!
And now Thank You!
Now a Thank You to all of you for the tremendous amount of support as Bass Cat Owners that you have all given. The statement by Stuart was his thought on how we do things. We have always tried to treat people fair and the J. D. Power and Associates award is a reward for that. You have to be inside in Scott, Stuart or Ivan’s positions to truly understand how we all feel and how hard we work at this. From bottom up this is our approach to building boats. We do have the best crew we have ever had assembled at all levels.
It takes each of those who filled one out plenty of time to complete the task. It is a thorough study and we gain a tremendous amount of insight from the data. Your time was worthwhile as we don’t look at this as a prize and not dissect the data. We can hardly wait to get the newest data to begin seeing where we can improve. Not only through our data, though through the data from our competitors studies results as well. It is not only about Customer Service it is about Quality product. The better it is, the more satisfied you are.
When we look at Customer Service here, things are really scrutinized in attempts to make the best decisions. No doubt some will differ from our opinions, though we are doing the best we can to be fair. Fair to those who are not involved in controlling their retail costs as well. There are those who will or may not agree, though we have to view all aspects.
In times like this we buckled down and put the same effort into this as before, with really nothing different. Our problems per 100 units (PPU) were 108 and of those somewhere around 50+ to almost 60 were engine related. This number remained constistent marginally for all manufacturers from various aspects and the award will not reflect the V6 data numbers. Which we are surprised on ourselves! Engines on all boats do account for a percentage of the score. It has not been long sincve we received the data and only a small portion of the data has been looked at. We have already made aggressive actions to lower issues we found from this.
This year the score moved up to an unmatched 944 out of a possible 1000 points. The mix of models was all over the sheet with sales to study numbers among all models and a lower percentage of large 20′ models. Which means there were plenty of folks who bought a Pantera Classic and other boats at retail, who took that time to fill out their study. When you take the engine portion of the data into account, it really may be impossible to score higher than we have this year. Though we are already trying to!
The award is but a piece of bronze and glass. It is those friendships and “Family” out here that make a difference. The recognition is a heartfelt honor which is a Thank You from all of you. You could not have said it better in person! We hope you continue to feel we deserve this recognition for a long, long time.
We are going to do our part, and you are BCB!
