Another post from me…Im looking at relocating to Joplin, MO. Is there any good fishing in the area? Any fishing clubs with team format there? Is there a BFL or some pro-am format around there too?Is the fishing better there than Grand Lake and Eufaula lake down in Oklahoma?Thanks,Dave

You have Beaver Lake in AR.Table Rock in MO.In that corner, you have a lot of great choices in a 1-3 hr driving range.Ron

Grand and Table Rock are the better. You also have Truman just north of there and between these three you have plenty of variety in styles. Timber to deep rock lakes and everything except river, tide and grass fishing. BCB

3 hours away on Dardanelle in Arkansas you have the river and grass too!Plus Muskies at Pomme de Terre about an 2 hours away.Then theres Stockton about an hour from Joplin.Deke[font=&QUOT]Deke[/font]

There is Table rock, Bull shoals, Stockton, Pomme de tere,Lake of the ozarks, Beaver lake, Grand lake, and North fork lake all between 1 to 4 hrs. driving time. There is the Heartland fishing circuit. There is clubs that fish just about every lake. Just go to flw or Bassmaster web site and look for clubs around the waters you like best once you have arrived here in Gods country.

I am not real sure about the lakes in Missouri but the Grand chain is as good as it gets in Oklahoma. Both Grand and Hudson. There are quite a few large trails in the NE Oklahoma area that draw 300-400 boat fields and pay $10K+ for the win. Most are coming to an end for 07 but the basszone.com will have all the information you need for tournament trails of all sizes in the area. Joplin is a great area and there is a lot of water to choose from. Good luck with the move!Steve McLarty
