Why not take out the bow eye, run the keel guard up past where the bow eye goes, then drill holes through keel guard for the bow eye to install for added protection. Just a thought.JR
Sure, but would still be easy enough to take the bow eye off and then put the keel guard on. My last two boat got some damage due to the fact that the black bumpers would fall apart (now use the yellow one and dont have that problem) and hit the metal. JR
Power loading would be my guess. The repeated stress put on the Hamby, Keelguard, etc would probably cause it to wrinkle and peel. Seems those companies have enough R&D to have tried this.
Yup, like I said, I wont have another one with the black roller on it. I have had the clear/yellow one for a few years now and it barely shows any usage. JR
I use the butter yellow center rollers. They are better than the black rollers but much softer than the clear yellow/gold rollers.Werent there reports from the past of the clear yellow/gold Stoltz rollers being responsible for taking chunks of gelcoat off the bow of some Bass Cats?
