Kentucky Lake Tournament??

All this talk about regional tournys and etc has me wondering about the possibility of a Kentucky Lake event. All in favor say I. Of course this will not take the place of any other event, just a little get together on a awesome lake and where it leads is up to us.

Well prime time is June but I have had some monster days each month of the year. Its all about what style you prefer.

I know BBC is having a rally there 1st week in May. I wouldnt fish both but would personally rather fish with this crowd.

Ill do my best to be there and help any way I can. Early October to fish the shad jumps and feeding frenzies or April through June. Either time would be great fishing. People not familiar with the lakes need to be careful because levels are lower.Last edited by ctford on August 24th, 2012, 12:52 am, edited 1 time in total.

Seems a little to early to try and schedule one for this year. I dont wanna interfere with other tourneys going on in Oct or the Owners tourney. Im wonder if we should wait until June unless you guys think we could pull something out our butts before then.

Im with you Brad. This year too soon for me. I already save a Sepetmber and October trip planned. Plus itll give us more time to plan and make it great event. Although Im 4-1/2 hours aways I could help plan. Plus in June the ledge bite will be going. ( a bit off topic) What is the fishing like Mid October? Water Levels then?

If it was further south like Moors or Kenlake would that draw more people from the south to attend? Kuttawa is just 4 hours for me but Ill drive further if it improves the attendance.

I will make it to Bama come hell or high water and we can get this thing rolling. KenLake would probably be ok. The ramp is huge but the parking is not so great. Moors, KY Dam, Paris, Kuttawa all would make good locations as well. Im game from the last weekend in April however if the fish are on the beds I would not expect much weight to win it. Contrary to much belief when the fish are on the bed the best bite is three days to the day of the full moon with the day after to about 4 days after usualy really tough. Tournament results here on the big lakes have proved it to me time and time again. With all that being said I had a monster day this past spring two days after a full moon in April,,then again I was fishing pre spawn fish. Back to the subject if any of this sounds good to you then speak up.

Kuttawa has a really nice ramp and it is not to far to KY lake. Im all about a simple tourney as long as it is not to expensive. A little money on the line adds to the competition but Im just wanting to meet some of you guys and see some BCB. Are we hoping for 10,20,30 boats? More than 30 and it is going to get to be a logistical challenge. I am already looking forward to a gathering!
