Cant wait, they start draining on friday 9/10 down to 165. This spot can only get better with the current and the low water. Have tons of projects once it is down though. I will have my launch extended so even at 161 i can put in. you guys need to run over from your slice of heaven one day. the crappie are starting to turn on also. when i get those pics back i will post them.

for the right price i will give gps coordinates where they were released!!!! just jidding. was definately a fluke we got on them, one of the best weekend trips i have had in a long time. we were south where there is ALOT of grass and fished 100 yards on each side of a point that came way out off of the bank before it got to 12 ft then dropped off to 25-30 ft with the river channel close by. the biggest and most came in 2-3 ft of water on baby brush hogs florida rigged or weightless senko when the wind was not bad. the 3 biggest i caught was after a backlash and the bait had sat there for a while, when i finally figured to leave the bait there longer and fish slower things only improved. they are drawing the lake down another 2.5-3 ft starting this friday (10th) pulling current 24 hours a day so the next 2 weeks should be great. a word of caution to anyone on da bend, there are stumps and i mean alot of them now so it will only get worse. the bouys are already out of place and not always in the boat roads. we daw and marked at least 12 stumps in the boat roads last weekend and some were definate lower unit killers. good luck, i dont think you can go wrong anywhere south around some grass with deep water close. my mom and dad have been hammering them (for them at least) since we left. for mom to catch some nice bass that means they are biting.

Loanshark,Thanks for the info, I will be there on the 17-19th trying to figure them out, and try not to do any damage to the Merc and Kitty. Was there about 3 weeks ago and the only thing we could get were schoolies, just looked on a web site that said that the lake was at 167, which is only about a 1 different than when I was there last. Looks like they are going to pull it down to 165 though. Thanks again,JR
