I have a 98 Jaguar, I have a ladder in my possession. I have received some instructions about placement but not sure how to install the lower sections. Do you use screws to secure the bottom posts. Have been told to use rivets but have seen that transom is about 1.5 inches thick and I don’t see rivets that long. Wonder if bass cat provides service where I could take to them and have installed so I know it is done correctly. Thanks in advance for any help.
I believe I have found the answer to my question in the archives. I have looked there before but this time I found the answer. If anyone has suggestions I would be open to any help still. Thanks.
You should have the vapor less rivets with the ladder for the install. Those are steel core and we are trying to switch everything to stainless steel now. That is if we can get enough as it’s a custom build in a challenging supply chain season.
Machine screws and nylon nuts on the deck install, rivets and silicone covering the lower portion.
On a 1998 model you may see some moisture seepage when you drill lower. Just let’s it dry and seal the holes. It’s going to be hard to say what the source is on a 22 year old boat.

I did not receive any rivets with the ladder. Just wonder how deep to drill and how long are the rivets. I will try and call parts tomorrow and see what I can find out. Thanks for the info. I wish I could find someone to do it so it is done correctly. Makes me very nervous, if you know what I mean.
The ladder has been installed using 4x4s. 2 are attached to the bottom of the frame and 2 run vertically across the top of the frame. These were secured to the upper deck before construction began.
