Hey John, That was me! Please also check out Austinbassfishing.com for the latest Lake Austin reports. Fishing has been sporadic out there for sure. Water is stained from City Park south to the Dam, pretty clear around Quinland and North. As typical, best to start shallow in the morning. Target isolated grass around docks. ( A lot of the grass is gone now. Still unsure if it had to due with flooding, or the $1,000,000 worth of Grass Carp the City of Austin put in) Later, target bluff walls and deeper docks to 18. ( Also, Deeper side of grass lines, just past Quinland on the right about 1/2 miles Good luck! Wife is out of town so I am watching all three boys, still might see me out there though. ( Will be easy to spot if so.. ) A good bite will easily give you 15 lbs – 18 lbs , however if they are shut down, it can be really tough. Keep at it though, any cast on that Lake can yield a Slob. Here is this year Haul, from the boys at ABF. Last edited by BasserTX on December 8th, 2007, 2:14 am, edited 3 times in total.
