license plate mounting

Where do you mount the plate on a 2006 tandem trailer? Do you drill into the fiberglass fender?

You should have a holder on the cross member of the trailer. You will have to bend down to see it.

My crossmember is solid with no holes or any mounting fixtures.

It should be under the left hand fender, and you should have a BCB liscense plate there now, unless someone swiped it.

There is a clear tag light there also. Turn on the parking lights and look under the left fender.

BCB, boat is a 2006 Pantera 4 and was purchased new a few months ago. No Basscat plate or mounting hardware was on when I took delivery. It was never there.

Under neath the left fender there should have been a white ligth and a bracket bolts with 1/4 – 20 bolts to the 4″ fender support in the rear step area.

These have a BCB liscense plate on them when new.

Apparently since you have an ’06 model new, someone may have hacked yours somewhere. Please have your dealer get with Parts on Monday if your left rear step does not have a plastic mounting bracket and liscense tag light.

We would prefer it to be dealer installed, though if you are distant from your dealer, and want to do it your self, and a pretty good do it yourselfer, we will accomodate your wishes.

I have sent emails to BCB service(Scott) and my dealer. Nearest dealer is 130mi. away so I’ll do the install myself.
