Saw this posted on BBC, it’s not a motor issue and figure someone can help him out as I’m banned from there. Can’t imagine changing the starting battery only would make that big of a difference though I know the Sabre is weight sensitive, but he’s running a relatively low pitch Tempest which has the engine up in the powerband. I run a 25” on mine with regular 150hp 4-stroke and can get it to do 60mph with 2 people and full fuel. Though maybe he has heavier trolling motor and multiple graphs, but wondering why he can’t trim past 1/4 as I know there is a sensor that can limit how high it can go above 2k rpm and wonder if it’s out of calibration? Doing 45 at 5400 is a lot of slip and was wondering what his PTP is as lowering would give the prop more bite, but 62 at 5800rpm is 6% so it’s working well when solo.

Now he posted the jackplate y’all install is too long and the Sabre shouldn’t have one, wouldn’t that make it worse as it’d move the center of balance point further forward and the engine would have less leverage?
He might get better lift with going to the stiffer ProXS motor mounts since it’s a performance bass boat instead the OE mounts that were intended for a pontoon boat.
