Livewell

I’ve never really had an issue with mine. Anytime i end up using the livewells, I always make sure to pump them out when i get home, and then give a thorough cleaning with a few rinse cycles to get whatever cleaner out of there. I have always used the pump to get the majority of the water out, and then whatever small amount is left in the bottom at that point, I’ll pull the plug and let the fresh/clean water drain out.

Both the Classic and the Margay do this. I was shocked when I learned it. Just keep it plugged until you do the pump out, then drain the little that’s left out the bildge.

The red valve head on the livewell wall is also a pump out and you can pull it out to pump the livewell empty. The plug is to remove the little water leftover below the fitting, out through the drain or bilge. Those items regurgitated from fish remaining in the well should be cleaned with a rag or other method.

We apologize if any inference was made in the wording you mention. In today’s world every boat made is a considerable monetary exchange and should be respected as such. The engines and engine parts alone are a considerable amount, nearing a 50% value of this models purchase.

Same happened to me unfortunately.  I was shopping for a P2 and came across a Classic that looked nice.  I assumed wrongly it had the same livewell.  BCB this is a ridiculous design and a flaw that should be fixed for future owners.  Who wants their water to enter into their boat from the livewell???
