Livewell compression latches

I was wondering if anyone had changed over the latches on their livewells? In the summer down here in Louisiana the old through deck latches on my P3 sure pass a lot of heat down into the wells, and I have debated having some new covers made (or having the holes filled in the old ones) and going to the newer latches since I changed out the bench seats to buckets and the step box, and have clear access to mount the newer latches. I have never lost a fish because of the heat as I keep bottles of frozen water in the ice chest and add them during the day to the wells. Just bouncing ideas around and seeing if others have thought it could be a good idea.
