Either the valve is not moving past the detent on the twist position, or the valve if faulty, or the cable has slid in the lip that holds the cable end on the valve. BCB

How do I fix it? It doesnt drain when its first trailered, its only after I open and then close the valve that it drains.

Another simple remedy would to use the drain plug, i like the auto/empty valve feature but genreally will also use the plug. The turn to empty when i am done and pull the plug.

I had a problem with mine not pumping out when I switched to empty and turned on the pump out pump. and it would also drain on the trailer. I removed the diverter valve and found assorted trash (Small piece of fishing line, small grass steams, and some Guntersvillie mat slime) in the valve. cleaned it out and now it works fine.

It could be trash in the valve. We still like a drain plug and always have. Though folks like hte valve. Our position: Put the plug in when you go fishing. The well is dry. Turn the pump on when you catch a fish the well is wet. Remove the plug when you remove our fish, hand is wet already, and livewell drains on the way home. Put plug in when going next time, Repeat process. We never see a reason for a valve, though the valve is one thing everyone really likes.

AHA!!! I drove thru arkansas last year, behind a nice-looking PUMA. It was cloudy and I noticed a little mist here and there on my windshield. And occasionally a fish scale or two. And I wondered to myself “just what kind of rain storms do they have up here? Bad enough there are bass swimming around in the clouds?” Now I know I was following the BCB peoples boat and they were draining in front of me About as bad as Phils environmental disaster in Mississippi last year (oil spill) 2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200

OldtimerIf you saw a fish scale or two on your windshield you must have only thought you were in Arkansas. There are no fish in Arkansas! You were probably just following a boat from Texas going through Arkansas.
