livewell leaks?

When I pull my 93 Pantera II out of the water with the livewell full, and full of fish of course. I have the plunger pushed in (to fill) It still loses all the water. Can you only keep water in the drivers side by putting a plug between the two or is something leaking? Still trying to figure it out only had it about 2 months. Thanks KW

I had the same problem in March. Pulled the Control Valve on the pump and opened it up. Found that the rubber flapper inside had broken off, and that allows the water to drain back.

Contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a free repair kit and spares to boot. now it works fine, at least I think it does. — Since there have not been fish in the Potomac this year to try it out

Bigdawg is more than likely right on this one. Your livewell valve is bad. Get a replacement valve from Bass Cat. Call Bass Cat a 870-481-5135 and ask for “parts”.

Had the same thing on my 95. Ordered a new valve from Basscat and fixed the problem. They are easy to swap out yourself.
