On my Cougar I left the tips of the short bunks just sticking out, on my Lynx they are fully submerged. You have to back it in deeper to get it off the trailer too.
I put the trailer in just so the outside bunk tips are just poking out of the water so you can see them, about the same way I’ve loaded a Jag, PIV and Puma FTD. The Lynx has been very easy to load.
