Locating best transom mount transducer location?

I am about to install a transducer on the transom and well aware the easiest place is to install on lower right side of motor mounting bracket which is easily accessible. Other than idling speeds doubt the HDI unit would work at that location once planing speeds are there? Does anyone know where the transducer should be placed for best possible all around use on a 2002 Classic? I dont believe the motor mounting bracket will give the best location for sure and would like to know opinion on exact best place on right side rear, possibly if anyone has pictures indicating where should go would really help. Prefer not installing screws thru hull but know it is done that way and I also see there is a plate that can be epoxyd on, then the transducer bracket attachs to that with no screws going into the hull at all - just dont know re the location?
