lost skegg

any body had any luck with welding a new skegg on a mercury torque master.

Mercury has a part for non TorqueMaster cases, though they do not have a replacement TM Skeg. This means most have to completely rebuild one or remove one from a trashed case. Either way it can be done. There are several old posts here in the archive relating to that topic.

Id look for a used case and have your internals swapped over. Or buy a new case and swap them over. Not worth risking the failure of a faulty weld when traveling 75 mph down the lake. Insurance should cover.
