LOZ next week

Ill be at Lake of the Ozarks for a couple days next week. My fishing partner for the week got his schedule changed and has to work so will be fishing alone. Would like to exchange info with anyone that may be down on either the fishing or boat set up (2008 Puma/ 250 Pro XS with 4 hrs). Will be trying to catch a fish or two as well as continue tweaking on set up.

Went fishing with Gary on Tuesday and had a great day. 72 degrees in the end of october! We caught a bunch of shaky head fish and I am sure he would be able to point you in the right direction on setup as well. From the dam to the 6mm find coves with shad in them then fish 1/2 way in and fish to the back of them. Use your favorite medium to deep running crank bait (DD 22) top water has worked in the AM same pattern. Good luck

Jeff (LOZCAT) and I had a great time last Tuesday. However, the Shakey Head pattern has slowed down, and the topwater bite is improving significantly. KerthPuma, My offer still stands…

Driving down tomorrow afternoon. Some personal things delayed my plans (grandsons birth). Would love to hook up in some manner on Thursday if you can make it work, maybe have you drive my boat and check my set up. If OK, Ill give you a call tomorrow early evening.

KerthPuma (another Gary) and I had a great time yesterday on Lake of the Ozarks! The fish are extremely shallow, and are biting topwaters, Eakins jigs and Shakey Heads in 0-2 feet of water in large rocks. The gizzard shad are up shallow eating the gunk off of the rocks, and needless to say, the bass are following them.I got to drive his new 08 Puma/250 Pro XS, and it is a very nice machine. The new hull is definitely a nice ride..Gary Hollander

Gary Hollander was a great host for the day. He spent a lot of time helping to educate me on the additional things the Smartcraft system could do as well as put us on some fish. All in all a great day; he represents BCB very well. I cant say enough about this boat. With wind and a few big boats out you really appreciate the ride this hull delivers. Driving in to the low 70s was a piece of cake, need some more seat time to get all it has and I think some set up adjustments as well.
