Basscat (Rick?) - I know there is very limited experience so far with the Lynx so the following question is more related to the theoretical performance expectations based on the lynx hull design. I would really like to know your thoughts on where the lynx would stand in the BCB 20 footer selection for true big wave rough water of the Great Lakes. For me - this requires agility, low speed planing ability with a high bow and lands softly. I bought my first and current Basscat 13 years ago, the first year of the cougar FTD, and I cannot imagine there is a better bass boat for the Great Lakes. My biggest worry about getting a newer model is that it may not perform as good as my current boat - where I use it. Kind of like the old narrow "tippy" Champs being replaced by the wider models. They worked better for most around the country, but the Great Lakes guys all wanted to stick with their narrow soft riding hulls. I realize it is close to the time to retire my cougar to someone who will use it in calmer waters and I will be needing a replacement. No doubt my next boat will be another Basscat- but I need some help to focus on the right model. Thank you!
Me and my father in law are going to look at one of your Yar-Carft boats next week in the 219. He has been Walleye fishing for about 40 years on Lake Oahu in SD.
Thats great! He has a few dealers in the Dakotas to choose from. The 219 TFX is a really good riding boat and you should be sure to get it on the water.
