Mercury 175 hp xri

Bought my boat in July had a mariner 150 carbed engine blew powerhead almost a month to the day after I bought the boat. Was going to rebuild powerhead but the block was compromised as well as the crank. I found a "lightly used" rebuilt 1993 merc xri 175 hp engine runs good starts right up accelerates good feels healthy. Oil injection removed making sure this one stays lubed! Rod bearing went on my old motor probably from a lack of oil. My only major concern is compression is 110, 110, 118, 110, 105, 95... Thats a bigger spread then I would prefer obviously. But I have dumped every bit of money I have on this boat and a rebuild isnt in my near future. Are these numbers low in general for an xri? I thought I had read somewhere that they were a higher compression engine like 120 135 range? Is that accurate? I only run premium fuel and use quicksilver or merc oil let my engine warm up good before running and Im not over revving 5300 RPMs. With me being nice to her what kind of life expectancy can I hope for with it? I know thats kind of a shot in the dark but curious about what you guys have experienced with your engines over the years. Im new to the high horsepower performance boats world. Thanks in advance!Kip
