MG trolling motor hard to steer

What Model Motorguide and does it steer hard even when not under power.

Its a 24v tour edition and yes its always hard to steer.

JUST A GUESS…ADJUST THE CABLES MAYBE????

check the pedal and make sure the cables are on the wheels Try to adjust them the two nuts in the front of the pedal but turn them equal http://www.bbcboards.net/electrical-wir … nsion.html

Thanks yall! Gonna try loosening where cables enter the pedal. Hopefully thisll get her dun!

That can create all new issues ! Make sure the cables are on the pullys ! If they are, pull the foot pedal (two screws usually), and turn over and lay it on a towel so you can see all the lubrication points, i.e. cable, pullys, pivots of pedal, etc,,,,, and lubricate them all with WD-40, or CRC, something like that in a spray. Also lubricate the bearing mid shaft of the troller, mounting bracket pivot points, etc,,, while you are at it, as well as the foot throttle if you have one, the light sockets, jackplate, trailer tongue, winch, etc,,,,,,, Then semi-deploy the troller and work the pedal a bit and see if it fixed the issue.

Must be good stuff .
