Motor Mount Square and Centered?

Adjusting the hight of the Outboard and I thought I would check to see how level the motor is to the boat. After leveling out the boat with floor jack so the hull pad was bang on level. I checked the motor to see how it was side to side. As I suspected it was way out. I should have taken actual measurements for numbers but if I just used the motor mount slide plate as a reference I would be a half an inch out. Do the math and that puts the center of the prop over to the starboard side by atleast 2 inches . This explains why the cat would ride low on the side until she was on the pad. So I marked the edge of the slide plates to give me a reference for when I have to move the motor down some more to get the tunned up prop running right. Just something that you might want to take a look at if you think your boat runs to one side.
