I pulled my boat out of the water today. When I was putting my transom saver on I trimmed the motor up and it stopped. I thought I heard a small pop, (I am not that sure) kind of like a fuse blew. My trim will still go down, but not up. I tried the trim switch at the throttle and on the motor. Neither one will work. The deep cycling batteries are just about dead, but I thought the power source for the trim came from the crankin battery. If someone knows what may be wrong please let me know. (2003 200 EFI Merc.) Thanks, Sam
Sam its likely just a blown relay. Bbasically there are three/four “black boxes” that are plugged into a central board. The black boxes are relays and they go at times. I carry an extra. Im no mechanic but Ive been here. If you knew where they were you can actually plug one relay black box into anbother receptacle for the up relay and get out of this jam. Hopefully thats it-C.O.D.
