I just purchased a used 2001 cougar dc with a 2001 200 merc. optimax with only 17 hours on the motor. The boat came with a 23 in tempest and hit the rev limiter at 5850. I spoke with the owner of mazco props and he told me to try a 25 pitch trophy. I was going to purchase a 250xs but after I put a gps on the boat I was suprised to hit 72.9 with 2 people and tanks half full. I would just like some info on how much performance I will gain by going to the 250xs????????
