Guys, Anybody know the size of bolts needed to mount a Motorguide? A couple of mine are nearly stripped (head) and will not tighten. Wanted to go ahead and pickem up after work and install on Sunday. Thanks in advance, Brad

At BCB We use 1/4″ 20 threads and the front and rear are different lengths. We cant recall the length on them exactly, roughly 2″ or 1 1/2″ on the rear, and 2 1/2″ on the front from memory. These are bolted in if this is a BCB mounted troller. We use the Well Nut only as a shock absorber and remove the lower bronze nut. They are through bolted with nylocks nuts and have an aluminum 3/8″ plate under the front deck assembly at front and rear. BCB

Thanks for the quick response BCB. The back is mounted exactly as you say and I assume the front is also (need the wife, cant get my arm in there). I have extra Well Nuts from a previous troller, plan on replacing those too. I hope replacing the front Well Nuts and new bolts will eliminate the “rattle” from the Motorguide, dont know what else it could be…. Brad

Be sure to cut the Well Nut to where it does not extend through the lower flat of the deck.The compression increases the chance of stress fractures by expanding in the fiberglass. BCB
