Fight it. I once fought a rebate denial for 1.5 years and finally received it. Your first step is to call their customer service for specific details on why it was returned. Make sure you document date, time and w/ whom you spoke. Then resubmit w/ the correct info. Mine was w/ a cell phone company which is why it took so darn long. MG should be easier to deal with.

Its just the princple of the thing. I sent bar codes/warranty card/ sales reciept but now they must doubt that I made the purchase. I always felt like if they really wanted to give a rebate they would do it at the time of purchase. Ill have cheddar with my whine. thank you.My main concern now is do I have a warranty.

Retailers like rebates because most will not submit them or follow through after the initial denial. For the principle of the thing is why you should be fighting for your rebate. Would you have bought the MG when you did had their not been a rebate? A call to customer service should fix your rebate & warranty issue.

Thanks BCB for the advice. I called this morning and Im glad I did. My TM was not registered and as soon as I return home from work to get the numbers it will be. Im not sure that Ill get any help with the rebate but Ill keep you posted. It makes me wonder why it was not registered. I also wonder if the rebate process had worked if it would have been registered?? Surely it would…

Most trolling motors are registered by theirowners as dealers and retailers either dont mess with the card mailing, or they dont open the box that contains the trolling motor where that card exists.

I took advantage of this rebate program back in the end of March and bought a new 109.Started calling Motorguide and Attwood towards the end of may to check on the status. After about two weeks of calls and messages, I finally got ahold of someone a couple weeks ago.They were not able to find any record of registration or rebate, but took all my info over the phone and said both would be taken care of and my check would be sent out within few days.Helpful once I finally got in touch with someone, but Im still waiting on my rebate check.

Im sorry to learn of your trouble. Hopefully it will get worked out. I left a message this morning with ATTwood but no word yet. I still believe my situation will get worked out but well see. There are a several good trolling motors out there. Ive just always used Motorguide. Im used to the feel of them and can almost tell you where Im pointed by my foot position. When Ive ran other brands on partners boats I feel awkward. Im sure after a few hours they would feel fine but why go through the trouble?
