i have 1992 pantera 2 i am considering moving the 2 fuel tanks in rear to one fuel tank under seat, does anyone forsea any problems with this, like weight distrabution or anything else thank you
Im curious, why do you want to do that? The 92 PII has good dry under-seat storage youll be giving up. Plus the further aft the weight distribution the better shell run and you will be shifting a lot of weight forward by moving the tanks. What are you hoping to gain by moving the tanks? My first Cat was a 93 PII. She was a great boat; the cats meow if you will.
i can tell you from experience that removing the two rear fuel tanks is a MAJOR PAIN IN THE AXX. unless you remove the top cap. thus again, refer to the previous statement. if its room youre looking to gain because they take up so much space in the back, and you can get by with only 27 gallons of fuel, just remove one. i removed the one on the left side and have enough room for my two trolling batteries, my onboard charger and a six gallon reserve fuel tank. it does sit slightly cocked in the water when sitting still, but other than that, it does just fine when running it.
