My Mercury PRO XS 225 Power Head

The power head went out on my 2006 225 pro xs on Tuesday. Martys Marine hear at LOZ told me that I will need a new power head. Motor was out of warranty Dec. 2012.I am trying to decide on a Mercury reman power head, a new power head or just go with a new motor. If anyone out there has any advice that may save me some money or knows of a 225 or 250 merc. to buy. I would like to hear from you. Does Bass Cat do any repower jobs? Maybe BCB would be able to give me a deal on a motor that they have in stock.The boat is a 2006 Cougar FTD in very good condition.Thank you for your any help you can give.
