They dont have it in stock, its a grab it from one of the guys in production when they can. Simple things like this seem like they are just go get one. These are not simple requests. They arent, as Allan has to catch the supervisor or installer and have them not dispose of the shard, then someone has to retain it or hand carry it over to Parts and hand it to Allan, or Allan has to chase it down. They are not even close in proximity and thus it requires about 10, and probably 15-20 minutes to manage this. Then packing it and writing a shipment sheet and shipping it is another 5 to 7 minutes. The Parts staff is extremely busy and they need to handle phones as much as possible. Dropping that time when they shipped over 100 packages last Monday is hard. Its just a we dont sell that part in that fashion situation, and we are not throwing Allan under the bus. He only has access in the system to sell the complete part.
