I have a pro v 150 running a 24 tempest. Puts me right at 5600 rpms allowed to turn 5800. Whole shot is excellent! You are allowed to turn 5800 rpms. When you go up in pitch you lose 150 to 250 rpms per inch. So if you go up 2 inches in pitch you are looking at a loss of 400 to 500 rpms. I would say that you would lose a little on your whole shot also. Bottom line is you never know until you try them. I have done alot of test runs in the last year I have seen props run a just find and no matter what book you read or who you inquire with it would not tell you to use that application. In short most 150 to 175 run 23 to 24 pitch props sometimes 22. 200 – 225 25 26 Most Popular 25 trophy. 250 and up 27 28 29 Most populasr 27 tempest 250 and up also get into running bravo ones.
