Need some help on trade in value- 05 Classic

I have a 2005 Pantera classic that i am looking to trade in. the NADA retail value is $17,500. my question is, what would be a fair trade in value on my boat. the boat is in excellent condition. I have not had the engine hours checked but doubt it has over 100 hours. boat stays in winter storage for 5 months/year. here is a breakdown of the boat and options. thanks for your help. Mark.05 Classic05 Merc 2.5L 200 EFI with tempest prop. jackplate.tandem trailer with pivot tongue, reverse light, and imco tie downshot foot, pro trimhambysdust coverflipping deck, pro air livewell pump out2011- 3 new sears marine batteries2011- Noco 3 bank charger2010- MG tour 82 TM upgradeelectronics- Lowrance X51 in console, Lowrance X102C on bow and i have an extra Lowrance X125 that can be mounted in console.water pressure and trim gauges.

If boat dealers are at all like auto dealers I would be surprised at an offer over $11,000.00

http://basscatowners.yuku.com/topic/201 … ic-AL-SOLD^ can give you a rough estimate of what the market value is for your boat. Dealer wants his share, so you can probably get a decent idea of trade in value.

Its all a numbers game. They can give you a real good trade in value and jack the price on the boat your going to buy or give you low trading and a good deal on a new boat. I would watch more the amount that you are going to have to finance or pay, I wouldnt take less than 14500. 2000 to 3000 is plenty for a dealer to make on a boat.

Why not try and sell outright?
