Net scabbard upgrade – whoops

Had the boat in to the dealer for a few things and had them install the upgraded scabbard that BCB had sent me. They forgot to cut the new holes for the tool holder as the holes dont line up with the old holes. Can an I cut these without having to remove the scabbard? Its a 2.5 hour drive to the dealer so thats not happening anytime soon. Is is it possible to stretch the membrane enough to cut the holes without ruining the membrane? If not, Ill drill and re-do the rivets. We suggest you put it on hold till next visit. The new tool holder, net scabbard and sleeve is handy.

I just did my own install on this last week. On mine, one of the new holes completely fit the new scabbard. One was about 75% open, I took a dremel and opened that one fully. The other two I left closed, as I didnt want to rmove any more material structurally (which probably doesnt matter but Im paranoid), and I only usually have one pliers and one scissors up front at a time anyway.New scabbard fits my net much easier, though I still want a different net as my rubber one can be a “smallie trampoline” at times.

The part is counter sunk and the rivets are a special steel core vapor less rivet.

I got them from Allen in parts. Fit in a standard gun I had.
