I read their description pretty carefully. To me, “ho hum”. Balancing across batteries is not particularly new, although perhaps in the case of boating it is. But it also makes the charging system more complicated. I talked with an engineer at pro mariner a few weeks back when mine went bad after 9 years or so. He told me that in general, they consider most chargers as good for 5-7 years due to heat, etc. The old school approach of one simple charger per battery had its advantages. One went out, replace it. Now if one goes out, replace em all since they are just different blocks of components on the same circuit board. In electronics, the general idea is that as you add components, you reduce reliability. Id be concerned this is just another step down that road.
