New Cable Troubles

Make sure that the two cables are wrapped tightly together with electric tape. Dont stack them.Make sure its one behind the other. If needed use metal tie wire to connect the two by wrapping it around the cable, than wrap with electrical tape. A little dawn dish washing detergent wiped on the electrical tape helps bunches.

For me, I prefer the harbor freight fiberglass wire snake. Was really easy when we replaced the shoot-through-hull transducer 2 weeks ago, you can take the thing and hold it high as you feed it down the side and avoid the clutter around the throttle control and all the wires coming into the helm… Tried the end-to-end approach but it kept getting hung.

Try using rope on the old cable, then pull the rope through with the new cable. It does like to hang there in my Eyra as well. I found it easier to take off the throttle control plate and pull on the rope there to get it around that corner.
