Good info for those that don't venture onto the other board and hopefully helps those on the fence about which outboard is the right match for their boat. Looking at upgrading my 150 four stroke to 175 four stroke as the pound/ftlb of my Sabre with 3.4L V6 should be similar to pound/ftlb of an Eyra with 4.6L V8 as I suspected previously. P2 with 200hp V8 would still be the ultimate of course, though when I upgrade boats one day it'll be to an Eyra. What I find interesting is a 200hp V8 PRO XS makes the same actual hp as a 225hp V6, but with 67ftlbs more torque! So a Caracal with a less than max rated 200hp V8 would run the same top end as one with the 225hp V6, but would stomp it out of the hole and out accelerate it even though it has a lower number on the cowl.
