New owner can’t turn lights on

Hello BCB owners,

i am the proud new to me owner of a ’96 Pantera II DC. I have figured out pretty much everything on the boat with the exception of how to turn on the courtesy lights. I have been through every page of the FAQ section and can’t seem to find anything on this. I thought it would be the accessory switch on the panel but that didn’t do it either. Any help would be appreciated.

Push the lense, tilt it Down. If it doesnt come on or flickers sometimes the pin inside needs to be bent a little back closer

I believe that each light is individually controlled. the The lens flips up or down to turn it on.I have 2 in the front, one on the consule and one in the back. One of mine was burned out when I first got mine and I had to replace. You can actually see the back of the one in the counsule. Hope that helps

The bronze contact wheel sometimes gets corrosion and requires cleaning.

The lens pops off and there is a little wheel and contacts. Get some fine sandpaper and shine them up. As BcB said they tarnish. I rewired mine on my 98 Sabre before I found out how they worked. Neat little design!

I had to bend the tabs in closer on my front one. The wheel wasn’t even touching it when it rolled over. Works great now. Though I’m thinking about replacing them w/ some LED’s from superbrightled.
