Nice Post on Bass Boat Talk for Mac McCormick

Thanks Mac, Hopefully we will win over another one.Mark, thanks for that information. I called Mac this morning and he was very happy to take me out in his 2010 Puma FTD. I cant say thanks enough Mac for taking the time to go out on a hot day and get pounded by some waves so that I could really see what a BassCat is all about.Ill tell you what guys, that is one SOLID boat. Fit/Finish are 2nd to none, and the ride is terrific. BassCat Boats, you should be very happy that Mac is out representing your brand, he knows his stuff and is on his game.I have 2 other boats that Im testing out (Ranger z520, and a Phoenix 721). The Phoenix flight is next week courtesy of David Fritts Outdoors who has arranged a demo day for me to run a 721 which I am very much looking forward to. The Ranger I know so no test ride necessary. The BassCat Puma FTD is a superior boat to the Ranger in every area other than the casting deck; by virtue of deck width and deck height over the water. The massive front padded deck of the Ranger appeals to me greatly but the fishing "lower" to the water really appeals to me more and thats a critical thing to a guy my height (64") as the lower the center of gravity is the more stable I feel particularly in rough water or wind which we had both of today.Ive never seen a boat with a better fit/finish including our Cobalt pleasure boat than this Basscat. Its really that nice all around. So now I need to decide if that elevated deck and narrower fishing area up front are as critical as I think they are to me and the Phoenix test ride will help me prioritize that.Mac, thanks again for everything. It was a real pleasure to get to meet you and be in such a fine boat. __________________Chuck DaymudeLake Norman, NC
