Noisey Trailer?

Billius it just might be that your brake calipers bolts are not tight. Before the trip I would just get under there and put a hand on them to see if they might be loose. That will really cause the noisy sound you mentioned.Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!

Mine is the shafts for the keel rollers where they go through the bracket on both ends. Just grab a roller and try to shake it. Mine has plenty of play in the bracket holes.

Billius,Check you spare tire bolts. one of mine is loose and rattles like crazy, I keep forgetting to get it tightened up.Dave.

Hmm…Dave, that could just be the issue. Never have checked mine either. Or it could be the rollers I guess. But my other three BCB trailers never made the sound Im hearing.

Nope not the tire bolts. I cant find anything loose other than the rollers.

Bummer, I will try to listen to my rollers this weekend now that I solved my main rattle.

Its your keel roller shafts on the trailer. Was afraid neighbors were going to start complaining about me pulling mine out at 4:00 AM. If I recall the keel roller shafts are 5/8″ and the holes in the brackets are 3/4″. What I had to do is pry, cut, grind the push cap not off one end of keel roller shafts. Remove the keel roller and shaft. Smack the bracket slightly outward with a rubber mallet. Go get a shaft collar at hardware store and reinstall. Make sure you maintain good pressure between shaft collar and bracket so shaft cant rattle but roller can still roll.

Billus put some grease on the tounge of the trailer where it slides back and forth for the brakes. My trailer sounded embarassing going down the road. I was talking to my dealer and he told me what to do. Just wipe it everywhere you can and it will quiet it down.
