We got here yesterday and just sat around and relaxed all day. Today when we got up and around we went and put the boat in at Panther bay. The ramp is only about 20 ft. long now, and the parking area is under water. Eased out to the main channel and started looking around and what we saw is a whole New Lake. Ive been here for the last 15 OI tournaments, even the 2008 tournament. We were on the front page of the Baxter bulletin in 2008 floating over the parking lot signs at Panther bay. This year I dont even know where those signs were. This lake looks great with all the new structure around the bank to fish. But we can definately see that this could be very problematic with a lot of the ramps and docks not being able to be used. It is a challenge. Went to Basscat today and picked up some items from the store, New hat, Shirts, ect. As usual Dory is a Great Lady to talk with, we enjoy seeing her every year. Dory, that picture you showed us is just literally "bone chilling". Our vacation plans have not changed a bit, we will still be here for a week of fishing and fun. Even met some new folks in the cabin next to us. If yall get a chance, come on up. the grill is Hot every night. And the Sun is shining in the morning. No reason to miss out on a good vacation.

Been here since last Wed with the wife. The lake is high but dropping everyday and its been steady all week. First time here and have had a ball. We are leaving in the morning after visiting BC to search for diamonds at the national park. We will be fishing Lake Greeson on Thursday and hitting the road on Friday.You are absolutely correct, already planned to be here and its been a ball. Have fun and concentrate your fishing from 6″ to 2″ but be very quite around the trees. Flip jigs or square bills into the trees, the fish were eating them up until this morning and I believe it will only get better as the week goes on. Heard spinnerbaits were working but I could not get a single fish on any of the ones I threw. Also caught a bunch on topwater last week and again this morning. All in all, love the place and cant wait to come back. We are just tiered of fishing Florida lakes……its all the same salad bowls.
