Normal wear or cause for concern

Hi all! New to the forum and noobie boat owner. I have a spot on the bow just above where the trailer strap attaches that I haven’t noticed before. Is it normal wear or something a little more serious? Boat is a 2004 Sabre. Any input is much appreciated.

My 07 has this and I am wondering the same thing.

Personally I would have that repaired.

I have seen aftermarket metal plate cover to prevent that very thing

We wouldn’t call it normal wear, also there’s not really a concern over that area. The roller has been replaced, though at some time it appears the roller was worn through and the bolt may have contacted that area. The rollers can wear the gelcoat, though wear doesn’t have those tear marks in the gelcoat normally. That is usually steel contact.
