Right now they are not quite on, though trying to go now. Temps are still cool and we expect them to be on this week. They should be done by OI.

its gonna b a slugfest i think my dad thinks itll b won sight fishin but i was down there these past 2 wks it got tough when the weather cooled off but still caught alot of keeper fish it was tougher when the sun was out and there was no wind we were catchin em on jerkbaits i dont think the fishin will change a whole lot we did best on bluff type banks

There was a tournament out of henderson today and it took 18.60lbs to win. Word was that it was won sight fishing!

The water temps are mid 50s in the mornings and up to low 60s in pockets in the afternoon. The fishing was real good lately and the water color is in pretty good shape. Not too clear for Norfork and not too stained. The fish may be mostly done by then, though if sight fishing is in play, then there will be a crowd of folks looking at them. We were trying to not be in the sight fishing arena this year, though Mother Nature has slugged us with cooler weather. On another note, the boat docks are no longer listed in the entry form as they are against the Corp regulations for fishing.Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on April 20th, 2009, 9:48 pm, edited 1 time in total.

thats kind of surprising because we were going into the backs of creeks such as the tracy area and a creek in bennetts and the water was actually getting cooler we did look 4 fish on beds but didnt see any we did see some kentuckies and largemouths cruisin though and they were good 1s but like i said our best fish came of bluff type banks

my cousin that lives down there told me what happens is any dock connected to a marina that has a gas tank on the main dock is considered commercial but he said the dock owners could not write the citation only the corps of engineers can and apparently you must be 50 ft away from the commercial docks…pretty dumb rule to me kind of not fair to people who can fish docks or would like to

http://www.swl.usace.army.mil/ Contact the Corps for more info., but 50 “commercial zone” around any dock structure in a marina. That means any rented dock,. gas pump or not, period. NOR can the owner of the dock fish, swim, dive, etc,,,in that zone ! Any law enforcement div. can cite according to my info., sherrif, corps, AGFC, etc,,,, If they so desire to do so ! But this is true in the Little Rock district, and you should contact them for more information, please ! D.
