Due to the nature of time constraints, we ask weigh masters to average the view and if they are within a 1/2 pound or so we weigh them. They also are tie breakers in level upper placement. The weigh in anglers are obviously pretty good at looking at more fish than most of us have caught. Once they get a solid look at how that particular group of fish is bulked in weight, then they can usually get very close averaging by just looking.
